Two weeks gliding between Claviere and Montgenèvre was a powder lover’s dream—sunny days, deep snow, and not a lift line in sight.
The mix of Italian warmth and French alpine flair gave every day a different flavor—pasta at lunch, vin chaud at après.
The Via Lattea ski area is massive and mostly uncrowded, with tree runs, open bowls, and hidden off-piste gems.
Claviere felt cozy and authentic, while Montgenèvre brought the wide pistes and bigger terrain.
One of the best parts? Crossing countries on skis without realizing it—just a lift ride from pizza to croissants.
Snow conditions held up the entire trip, with two solid storms refreshing the terrain.
The pace was perfect: relaxed mornings, long descents, and leisurely breaks with views of the Alps.
Local hospitality stood out—family-run hotels, hearty mountain meals, and friendly vibes on every lift.
Night skiing in Montgenèvre and quiet sunsets in Claviere capped off our days with magic.
It wasn’t just a ski trip—it was two weeks of flow, flavor, and freedom in the Alps.
